A Gathering of Leaders:
Slate Technologies‘ CTO, Senthil M. Kumar, recently had the honor of presenting to the Caribbean Heads of State at a landmark summit organized by the Hon. Mia Amor Mottley, Prime Minister of Barbados. The event brought together the Hon. President of Guyana, the Prime Ministers of Jamaica and Grenada, and several other distinguished leaders from across the Caribbean.
The summit focused on connecting the best of Silicon Valley’s technological expertise with the Caribbean’s vision for sustainable and inclusive innovation. Senthil joined his colleagues from Celesta Capital to explore strategic pathways for technology adoption in the region—centered on AI, data, and intelligent infrastructure.
Inspiration and Collaboration
The experience was both inspiring and action-oriented. From the vibrant CARICOM ceremony to impactful speeches by global figures like United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, the event reflected a powerful commitment to forward-looking collaboration.
Throughout the summit, Senthil emphasized how AI can be a catalyst for progress—helping nations leapfrog traditional barriers and build more equitable futures. He also built new relationships and laid the groundwork for future partnerships that aim to deliver lasting impact.
And of course, no Caribbean visit would be complete without a nod to cricket. The venue’s walls were adorned with tributes to legendary players and other high achievers—reminders of the region’s rich legacy and its ambition to reach even greater heights.
